In order to enhance customer service in the Wien region, Carrier Transicold Austria is relocating its service center from Vösdorf to Wiener Neudorf. The service team will meet customer expectations for quality mounting, troubleshooting and repair, ensuring operational efficiency of refrigeration units and cold chain continuity. The goal is to help ensure customers’ goods are transported on time at controlled temperatures and in optimal condition to the end customer. Carrier Transicold, which operates in Austria as Carrier Transicold Austria GmbH, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
“We are pleased to provide a high-quality service center for our customers and safe and modern workplace for our technicians,” says Michael Radke, service director, Carrier Transicold Germany and Austria. “There are seven technicians at the Wiener Neudorf service center, each with refrigeration, diesel mechanics and electrical expertise to properly maintain transport refrigeration units for vans, trucks and trailers.”
The new service center is strategically located in ecoplus Wirtschaftspark IZ NÖ-Süd in Wiener Neudorf and is accessible from the Autobahn A2, which connects Wien with Graz and Italy. The new 5,000 square meter facility includes an 800 square meter workshop. The new service bay layout, which is focused on making it easier for drivers to maneuver, allows vehicles to pull directly into the station using one of five lanes, including one exclusively dedicated to the assembly of refrigeration units. The Wiener Neudorf facility replaces the service center in Vösdorf that will be closing at the end of 2017.
The new service center is part of a network of more than 600 Carrier Transicold service centers across Europe. Additionally, customers have access to Carrier Transicold’s OneCALL technical hotline, available in 117 languages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to help direct customers to the nearest service center.
